UPDATE: As of 2012 I am no longer offering custom guitars. Please keep an eye on my blog for new projects and instruments for sale.

Big Update
It's been a while since the last update and a lot has happened since then so this is a big one. I'll get the boring news out of the way first. I've had some more email problems that I think have been fixed for good. Between June 30th and the morning July 12th any NEW email being sent to me via web@scottfrench.com has probably been bounced back to you. All messages sent to my normal mail@scottfrench.com have been recieved with no problem. I'm very sorry to anyone trying to contact me at the web address, I hope you will see this and try to contact me again.

New Shop
On to more exciting news, I have moved and setup a new shop. You can see pics of the new shop in the Luthiery section of my gallery. I'm certainly adhering to the "size doesn't matter" theory of shop design but I have everything I need to make instruments in a much more efficient manner than before.

Custom Instruments
I have four instruments currently on order and they've all been added to the In Progress section of the Gallery. Every one of them has something interesting or unique for me so I am looking forward to working on these instruments over the next few months.

Charity Prints
A new online store selling high quality prints of my instrument photos has been set up at deviantArt.com. All the profits I receive from the sale of these prints will be donated to the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. If you a photo somewhere on my site you think should be made available as a print please let me know.

Free Picks
A few months back I had some logo picks printed up. There were problems with the process and I ended up with 6 gross of picks, 4 "wrong" (logo too big or off center) and 2 gross that ended up how I wanted them. Anyone interested in some free reject picks please send a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope to my P.O. Box above and I will send you a few of these future collector items. ;)

More Redwood
My friends and I pulled over on our 4th of July road trip to check out a local redwood dealer. I picked up a strange slab of beach salvage redwood with some neat coloring and burl pattern. The slab has a lot of rotting and checks but I should be able to get at least one top out of a really neat color shifting area.

Favorite Albums
While moving I did some sorting through my big binder of CDs. For some reason I spent a few minutes and wrote out my top 25 albums. I've typed them in and it seems like a nice way to finish this journal entry.
